An enquiry was received from our client, Bill, to supply and install an electric strike at a school in Manhattan. Hudson Way Immersion School is located at 525 West 52nd Street, New York.
An electric strike is an access control device, installed within the door frame, and used to lock and release doors. An electric strike works in conjunction with mechanical door locking systems, however, it is an extremely sensitive element of an electric door opening mechanism.

The new electric strike will need to replace the existing strike. Sizes, shapes and profiles can vary depending on the door frame and components of the door, and matching the design of the other door furniture will also be a consideration.
